I am not, nor have I ever been, a morning person, but when I was a kid I used to wake up early (like 6am early) just to watch this show. One of the things I remember learning about is the difference between the speed of light and the speed of sound. In fact, this show is probably the reason for my interest in science. The awesome Don Herbert (Mr Wizard) began teaching science to America via his television program in 1951, and he was still at it nearly 4 decades later when I discovered it on Nickelodeon. He passed away just last year, just before his 90th birthday.
